About ArtistFoundry

ARTISTFOUNDRY was founded by Bryan Jones in 2006 illustration service supplying visualizations for architects, retail designers, and art directors in the film industry.

Bryan has art directed numerous films, television commercials and music videos and has been nominated and won industry awards for his projects.

Prior to the birth of Artistfoundry Bryan spent over twenty years as an art director in the Los Angeles film industry designing feature films, television commercials, and music videos. In those years, he was nominated for a number of industry awards, worked with distinguished directors, and designed television commercials for clients such as Coca Cola, Nike, Toyota, McDonalds, and Ford. He designed music videos for artists such as Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Tina Turner, and received MTV’s best art director of the year award for Don Henley’s Boys of Summer. Bryan was also the production designer on This Is Spinal Tap, among a number of other feature films.

He joined Event Network, the leading operator of experiential stores for cultural and lifestyle destinations in the United States in 2013 and put Artistfoundry on hold. For the next six years he collaborated on all the retail design projects at Event Network and created all the RFP illustrations and fly-throughs for their gift store design proposals for facilities such as museums, zoos, aquariums, and science museums.

ArtistFoundry is back, and now located in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia, thus he is now working remotely for his US clients, and locally for projects in the Northern Rivers district in Australia.

Bryan is an experienced professional and a meticulous draftsman and 3d modeler. His imaginative design and illustration work have been enhanced by the vast variety of worlds he has created in film and video, and has brought his collaborative skills learned in film production to his relationships with his clients. He also brings a lesson learned in film that the value of a project is not based on the size of the budget but instead in the relationship with the client.

Bryan is a current lecturer at SAE, a Creative Media Institute located in Byron Bay, Australia, and has also lectured at the Otis College of Art and Design, Art Center College of Design, and the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, all in Los Angles, California, as well at San Diego State University, San Diego, California. He attended California Institute of the Arts, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts before becoming an in-demand production designer in the Los Angeles film industry.
Bryan continues to work through ARTISTFOUNDRY where he is always looking for a client with an intriguing project. He welcomes your enquiries
